With one exception, the 2024 Nissan Altima engine is the same across all trims. It’s an efficient 2.5L inline-four engine. The SR VC-Turbo® is the other available Nissan Altima engine using a 2.0L turbo inline-four power plant. 

The Nissan Altima specs for the SR VC-Turbo® engine push the power to 248 hp when you use premium fuel (236 hp with regular). As such, you should expect a corresponding (though slight) decrease in the Nissan Altima fuel economy as a result of this relatively increased performance. But, you’ll notice that the mpg for the Nissan Altima is still outstanding across the lineup.
